Hi , I have just bought a pair of c & h 12 bores , I wondered how to age them , the serial numbers are 40493 & 40494 ? Thank you C.W.B.

Hi Charles,

About 10,000 Cogswell & Harrison serial numbers between 1906 and 1907 have been lost, but 1906 started with 29892, 1907 starts with 41550 so your guns can be dated to 1906.
