Barrel Marks

Post by Rick Riddell 230 » Wed Nov 13, 2019 1:18 pm

Just out of curiosity is anyone familiar with this barrel marking? I have seen it on a few guns. It's two circles and a dot in the middle.

UK, Birmingham poofs, (photos above)the first pic was found on a Lincoln Jeffries and the second pic is unmarked, but shares the same style build. (Photos below) These two are very similar I haven’t seen the barrels on the Wilkes to see if it had the same mark.

To me that looks like the barrel makers mark.

Most Birmingham barrel makers did not bother to mark their barrels, or tubes. Some did. I do not know who this might be though, sorry.

Thanks guys for entertaining my questions, I’m learning as fast as I can! Unfortunately it seems more people are interested in Berettas and Benelli’s I would hate to see this history lost!
