Hello - does anyone know if it was the habit of Westley Richards to use sequential or the same numbers on their pairs of 16 gauge flintlock officers' pistols? I have a pair of pistols both stamped "9", with one stamped "2" and the other "3". The stamps are on either side of the Birmingham Proof Stamps. The pistols are probably circa 1813-1817.
