A .350 double O/U backlock ejector rifle by F Beesley. Bought in by him in 1911 as he was developing his own ideas for O/U shotguns. In fact this is one of two such rifles he bought in at the same time.
They have a Germanic look about them, but I know little about German O/Us of that period. I understand that a number of the better London gunmakers were buying in Continental O/Us at this time to see how they were put together.
This rifle ended up in South Africa, having been sold by Beesley in 1919.
