I Hollis & Sons
Any information you might have in regard to a I. Hollis 500-450 No. 2 case single shot rifle would be greatly appreciated.

It would be helpful to know the serial number, from which we may be able to give an approximate date of manufacture.
Of course, another give away is in the name on your rifle. 'I Hollis & Sons' being a part of the large Hollis, Bentley & Playfair gunmaking Loveday Street, Birmingham based conglomerate only from 1926 to 1930.
However, it is never simple with many conjoined firms, for there was a London presence too. Isaac Hollis made many of their guns and rifles for the trade, almost all in Birmingham. What proof marks does your rifle have?
