Thanks John for your help! One down, a thousand more to go! Just kidding! When I get my Davis all cleaned up I’ll post some pics and get a few from the catalog once it arrives! One cool thing, the lady from the Ilford society mentioned the building at 4 Hampton road, hadn’t really changed over time.

Hello, new on the forum.
I have a gun made by Alfred Davis. A 12 bore, SS, box lock, non ejector. The name "Alfred Davis" is on the action. The case has his address at 4 Bishopsgate. The trigger guard extension/tang? has "1974" engraved on it. Beautiful little gun.
The gun is currently in Norway. I would love more information on this gunsmith and have often tried to find if any similar guns have come up for sale.
Trying to insert pictures without success.

If I had managed to post the pictures it would show the case label:
Alfred Davis
(from J. Blanch and Son)
Gun and Rifle Maker.
Bishopsgate Churchyard
Old Broad Street
London, E.C.2
