Deeley ejector spring

Post by Mark Batten 250 » Mon Feb 11, 2019 4:27 am

Is anyone aware of where one might find a replacement spring that powers the ejector hammer in a Deeley-type ejector. It looks much like a sidelock's mainspring, much smaller, and has two tiny claws at one end to engage the ejector hammer.

I suppose one could be made from scratch, but I wonder whether one can be found pre-made and would only require final fitting?

Charlie at Hill Rod and Gun, Bozeman, Montana, made one for me.

Hi Mark,

Depends where you are, most gun shops in the UK have supplies of old springs and they come up in boxes of jumble at the auctions OR buy and old scrap gun for example in the Holts sealed bid sale.
