Good idea to mark the bird with a stick so the dog can find it, and to keep the dog on a lead so you can drag it back if it goes off in the wrong direction - or perhaps the lead is there to ensure you don't get left behind ! Don't know why you get the "too large" message.Try reducing the N...

You will have found quite a bit of info on the firm under the name Thomas Tipping. You will find more if you put the name Tipping into the text box (leaving all the other boxes blank).

I don't think any records exist, and perhaps there were never any record books. It is likely that Arthur Allan never actually "made" any of his guns, he was probably just a retailer and repairer of guns made in Birmingham by one or more trade makers. Prior to 1904 only a couple of serial n...
