The gun is in transit, I'll get detailed pics of the action, internals and trigger group. I would love to source this gun. The only markings are F. Davie on the rib. It is very similar to a Dickson boxlock (Scottish reference) or a Midland gun with the three pins on the frame (pin for the hook, hamm...

Excellent thank you, I noticed the Davie name had a shop til about 1941, would there be anyway to tell who might have been the manufacturer of said trade guns? As in if there were any identifying characteristics for makers that may have supplied trade guns?

So I have asked before and still searching for information on the Davie company out of Elgin Scotland, thought I would post again in hopes that I could find some more answers. Is there anyway to determine if a Scottish boxlock is a Birmingham made gun that had been rebranded for retail? Or were ther...
