Are there any records as to who may have supplied Jeffries? I know BSA was one, any others? Also did he in turn supply to others?

Front barrel lump cocking system

I’ve come across a boxlock with John Dickson Edinburgh on the the top rib but no markings on the action. What’s interesting is it has a front lump cocking system. The front lump is recessed and two cocking dogs in the barrel channel in the action engage this recess to cocking the gun. Anyone familia...

It’s on the Alfred Davis boxlock I just got, the serial number is 1960, interesting thing it also has 8 84 stamped on the flats, barrels and forend wood. I’m sure they are elsewhere just haven’t seen them yet.
