I no nothing about the maker but I think it was Nitro proofed in Birmingham post 1904. pretty good quality (not through lumps). would a little buildup by welding the hook be sufficient to put it back on face or will a total rejointing be required? looks like a worthy project.

Its not a classic Oak and leather but a modern airline travel certified case from Negrini of Italy. Not cheap but it will suffice .
