This is a bolt action rifle with a very nice carved stock with a running buck on the side of the stock.
Would like information about Bliss Titus.
I think this person was known for rifle barrels and was from the state of Uath in the USA.

Any information would be helpful.

Hi Dave,

You will have seen in the historical database Frank D Bliss was a maker of pocket pistols and revolvers. He was recorded from about 1856 to 1863 at 16 Whitney Avenue, New Haven, Connecticut. Also recorded in 1859 and 1860 at 16 Whitney Avenue was the partnership of Bliss & Goodyear.

There was a William H Bliss of Norwich, Connecticut, who was probably related (1877-1885). He was granted patents as follows; firearm, patent no. 202627/1878, firearm safety lock, patent no. 283854/1883, revolving firearm patent no. 313048/1885. He may have been the father (just a guess!) of Titus. If you find out anything we'd very much like to know about it.
